St. Crispin's Day at Theatre VCU.... and man are we busy...

Today is October 25. St. Crispin's Day
Shakespeare lovers know what day this is...
If not, let this be a reminder:
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,

(thank you to the King - Aaron Anderson)

Yesterday was the Costume Sale and looking at the photos it went pretty well..
don'cha think?

Willa Piro & Max Erhlich looking mysterious!

Coming up - RTCC award-winning Studio B is putting up a staged reading featuring several Theatre VCU actors and directed by our own Mauricio Marces -
and take a look at Avenue Q - it's coming together...

 The walls are going up

paints bricks...
one brick at a time.

Actors, Techs, Undergrads, Grads

This could be the best celebration of your

college career - with your help & imagination.

God knows you have plenty of imagination....

Monday 1:00 pm - please stop by to help

Right?

Do you know who your advisor is?

Oh lovely Theatre Students...

Before you escape in the Reading Days vacation ask yourself...
Do I know who my departmental advisor is?
Do I have my Degree Audit printed out?
Do I have any idea what electives I would like to take in Spring 2013?

and then pause and ask yourself....
have I gone to the second floor of the Singleton Building to make my appointment with my departmental advisor.

at this point you may want to ask yourself...
Did I know that on
Monday, October 22nd is
ADVANCED REGISTRATION
ADVISING DAY!

Oh... word to the wise:
Do not assume your Theatre classes have been cancelled on Monday - confirm with your instructor!!

Have a brilliant college career!

Not to be out done
The Blogster was invited to Toni-Leslie James' Advanced Costume Design class to photograph the project review. Here are the snapshots -soon to be followed by some of the amazing art created by our designers. So Damn Good.
Frances Ritter (designer) & Giselle modeling her Venus in Furs design transforming an existing costume from stock.
Much in the way of leather, zippers and garters...
Kate models Matt Armentrout's creation from existing stock for Venus in Furs.

Gloria Kim shares her renderings of Avenue Q costumes to Shea and Kiyoshi.

Toni suggests just a few changes to Matt.
Virginia Varland shares Venus In Fur renderings to Neno & Toni - with Gloria and Bonnie looking on.

 ...and Tonight...
To all our performance majors, each and every one of you, break legs at the Spring 2013 Mainstage Auditions. May you make it  a very, very difficult choice for the directors of The Colored Museum (February) & Sweeney Todd (April). Be brilliant!!
